Aims

To provide an introduction to the REMA counselling model with theoretical application.  The module will provide an overview of theories of human growth and development, relational neurobiology, clinical issues and seek to facilitate the students’ personal position regarding counselling.

It will aim at providing insight into the relational and developmental needs of people as described by the counselling model, enabling students to understand the theoretical rationale of counselling as a human activity, and aiming to give insight into and understanding of its ethical foundations, in particular as they relate to issues of difference and equality.
