Section outline

  • Our expectations of you while on placement

      • a signed declaration and notification of any changes
(You will have completed a declaration as part of your LST application.  This states whether you have ever been the subject of a police caution or been declined working with children or adults at risk.  If you tick yes for either of these, it does not necessarily disqualify you from church placement but we will need to notify your prospective supervisor in order to be transparent in all our dealings.  It is beholden on you to notify us of any changes.)

      • The provision of documentation to carry out a DBS check (if required)
      • You are responsible for ensuring the forms are submitted on or before the deadline
      • It is the student's responsibility to ensure all forms are signed both by student and supervisor (signature on Log of Hours authorises placement hours completed)
      • You are advised to keep a reflective journal of significant learning experiences/ideas to assist in your Theological Reflection (see next section)
      • Look out for emails, as you will be copied in when we send links to your supervisor to mid-year (F3) and year-end (F4) assessment forms, which they will complete with you at a 1-1 meeting.
