Our placement partner churches

We have placement partnership with churches across London (and beyond) but the majority are within a catchment area around LST. Churches are generally allocated according to your gifting, experience and desired area of ministry (which is why the timely submission of your student profile is so important). It’s inspiring to see how often these relationships build beyond formal placement to become a student’s church family while at LST.

In selecting placement churches, we have in mind to build partnership with church (or ministry) leaders who will model ministerial skills and Christian character for the discipleship of our students, commensurate with our Biblical beliefs as an evangelical institution.

An LST placement church should fulfil the following criteria:

THEOLOGICAL COMPATIBILITY: a community of Christians whose theological convictions are compatible with LST’s doctrinal basis 

WELFARE & SAFETY: ability to provide appropriate role and hours for student(s) in an accessible location and follow health and safety considerations. We ask weekly placement providers to enter into agreement with LST and confirm that they have current public liability insurance to ensure you are covered against personal accident whilst on placement.   

SUITABLE SUPERVISION: from a vetted supervisor (see more in the next section)

NB: In the event of there being more churches seeking placement students than LST students to fill them, priority will be given to those churches (and supervisors) whose theological position is in keeping with LST’s evangelical ethos.
