    • EXPLORING LEADERSHIP: how to lead well for an effective team 

      Here are some key elements of leading well: 

      1. Get to know your team: understanding how each member of your team ticks goes a long way. Consider doing a personality test together: eg 16-personalities 

      1. Play to their strengths: use what you learn to form strategy that brings out the best from each member: by doing so you demonstrate respect 

      1. Nurture positive environment:  lay ground rules that disrespecting team members is not tolerated; working to reach consensus is important 

      1. Foster collaborative environment, where all feel safe to share, so people’s gifts are nurtured and encouraged 

      1. Lead by example: great leaders treat team members well and are servant-hearted 

      1. Provide clear vision, so that the team can get behind you and all travel in the same direction but don’t fear difference – ‘surround yourself with independent thinkers and critical allies who have the freedom and moral courage to tell you the truth” T-three Team-building specialists 

      1. Pray for each team member by name, caring for them.
