Section outline

    • We have established that practical experience is vital – it is also available to every undergraduate (and postgraduate) student in each year of your studies: LST Vocational Services offers vocationally-led experience, both in a curricular and extra-curricular context, to help you understand more fully who you are in Christ, discern God’s call and get equipped for a life of service after LST.

We want to see you grow:

in grace and godly character – through community living (for campus-based students) and personal spiritual disciplines

      • in personal qualities – perseverance; patience; insight; analysis; valuing others

      • in transferable skills – communication; working with others; improving learning and performance; problem solving

      • in vocational expertise – church service and leadership; musicianship; counselling skills.

We have a (categorised)Placement Directory, offering vocational experience with a range of (mainly) Christian organisations – we encourage you to get exposure to these invaluable opportunities each year at LST.  These opportunities are geographically-located – so not appropriate for our online students but they give examples of what is possible – we are always happy to help you find vocational experience in your field and in your location.

And, to give you access to other people’s experience, where possible, we will partner with our alumni to provide specialist mentoring through our Alumnus Mentoring Scheme.
